Sunrise and a Summer Storm

One of the things I like most about working graveyard is watching the sun creep over the mountains in the morning. I think about this every day that I work, I am often alone in the store at this time and today I finally remembered to bring my camera to see if I could capture the color of the waking day.

Then after a hot and very clear day, the clouds rolled in, the thunder started and the rain came soon after to wash the world of the heat.

It rained here most of the afternoon and a good part of the evening. Right now a cool breeze is blowing through my house and I am looking forward to sleeping tonight without sweating. It's so weird that on my off days I have a hard time going to sleep. I have been up since 4pm yesterday after sleeping for about 6 hours. I worked 12 1/2 hours, got off at 9am, it's 9:45pm now and I am not the least bit tired. So strange.
