New Living Room Arrangement

A soon as the love seat came to live here, the living room was screaming for a makeover. Although it will be a few months down the road before I can light that fireplace with out melting myself, it is the centerpiece of the room and the seating needed to face the fireplace. This is the configuration that developed and I am perfectly pleased with it.

I was a bit concerned about the desk, or really the computer, sitting adjacent to the window. I was concerned that there would be too much glare on the screen in the morning, but no, it is perfect, of course. Plus, there are two phone jacks, so the computer and the phone can each have their own jack and the phone can sit on the desk where it belongs.

There was a yard sale two doors down and I bought the mirror over the bookshelves for $5. I know I probably don't need another mirror, but I just could not pass it up. Plus I picked up an ironing board for $1. Life is good.

This is the middle of the plant sitting behind the love seat. Maryke and Jeremy left it here for me and I replanted it in a cool pot that was out back in the patio. I love leaves that unroll like this. It has so much new growth, I am wondering how long this pot will actually be able to contain it. We shall see.
