There has been so much celebrating around here, I wanted to share one more tidbit of great news and this morning I asked Jenn for permission to tell you all.
Jenn and Richard are engaged to be married!
So save the date: July 31, 2010, when we will all gather to witness the vows of a loving life long commitment between these two love birds.
Obviously details will follow as the planning progresses. Jenn and I were talking about it Saturday at Jeremy's graduation party, and, of course, other than the where and when, there have not been many decisions made about the how and what. I was telling them I will certainly help plan and execute a wonderful event,(once a caterer, always a caterer).I asked Richard some random question and he replied, "Well, we are on week 1 of 60, so I will let you know." I cracked up. For now, let me say, Rachel, you will be needed to take those awesome photos you produce. Josh, we'd love to have you shoot video. Monica, I will definitely need your help in the kitchen. As soon as I have jobs for the rest of you, I will let you know. Can you tell I am just a wee bit excited?
For those of you who have not had the privilege of hanging out with the two of them, let me tell you, they are adorable together. Richard is a good man, honest, funny and loving. He and Jenn have a solid relationship based on honesty, mutual respect and love. It is such a joy being around them, and I am so pleased that Jenn brought Richard to our family and we will all have the pleasure of him forever. However, this blog would not be real if I didn't include one picture of Jenn with her tongue sticking out...
