Belated Mother's Day Surprise

While I was feeling sorry for myself on Mother's Day because I was not going to be with my sons, Amber, bless her heart, was thinking of me and made me the most wonderful gift. She gave it to me on Friday night when I was helping her with the graduation party preparations, but I have not had time to really digest it till today.

It is made of ribbons and hearts and beads that are adorable and not given justice in the photos below, but the photos are just precious to me. Amber was not positive when the photos were taken, but it is my guess that they were shot at Raym's going away party at the Sawtelle apartment when he left for Boston in 2004.

I simply love this and have it hanging prominently in my room where I will see it first thing everyday. Amber, thank you so much for your thoughtful, creative heart. You know I love you as if you were born of my body, thank you, thank you, thank you.
