We knew it would take a second coat, as the texture on the walls and ceiling make it very difficult to cover completely with one coat. I spent the morning on Sunday while David, Betsy and Jade went to the gym and finished the second coat and touched up the edging on the ceiling.
When Jade got home and had some lunch, we both started on the gray of the walls around one o'clock. By dinner we had finished the first coat on the walls. I have to point out that I edged that ceiling without tape and have to say, I am a stud. I don't think it could have been any better with tape.

The window seat plan was to paint a wild color called Lipstick, and Jade and I were very excited to get that done Monday after school. I spent the day putting on a second coat of gray and touching up all the edging with the blue and the gray. It was hard to wait for Jade to come home to get started on the window seat. By the time we finished the bulk of it, I could no longer stand on a ladder looking up to finish the ceiling edge. I needed to take my time and did not want to make alot of mistakes because I was tired, so I opted to wait till today to do all the edges.

Jade was not finished painting and put a good coat of Lipstick on her wall mirror, which hangs opposite the window seat and will tie in that color very nicely.

This morning I finished up the edging on the window seat, and again, I have to say, Damn, I'm good! There are a few spots that will need to be touched up with the gray where we dripped, oops! But other than that, we are done, except for the baseboards and they will be easy...no texture, thank goodness. I am fully impressed with our work. Jade is a focused partner and a pleasure to work with. Betsy was thrilled that I am here, as she hates to paint, and I just love it. Call me crazy, but I do. I will have to take more pictures in the morning when the sun is not so bright in the window and you can see the colors better, but today I had to go off to donate blood, so I did not take them till I got home.
