Graduation Day Part Three: Waiting at the Statue

As I mentioned before, we had a clear plan of action for meeting after the ceremnony. We all met at the far end of the Quad near a big statue, which oddly enough I never thought to take a picture of and have no idea who the man immortalized in bronze might be. But he was a good marker for everyone to find each other and we met there after Jeremy walkd the stage to wait for the end of the ceremony.

The mood was positively jubilant and we were all snapping pictures like crazy while we waited. Here are a few of my favorites:

Jenn does take a lovely picture when she wants to, unh?

Maryke had walked the stage on Friday night with the Masters and Doctors. She is here with her mom, Gail and her stepdad, Mark. They were simply as lovely as Maryke and we had a great time getting to know them throughout the day.

Near the end of the ceremony, they sang the UNR alma mater, we followed along, as the sheet music was printed in the program.

Betsy got a good shot of my hug with Jeremy when he found us at the statue.
David was beaming with pride. As we all do, Jeremy had a few rough years, and David was so pleased to witness this moment of accomplishment in Jeremy's life. We have no doubt his darkest days are behind him and a shining furture lies ahead.
Vicki was equally proud of her baby, they are always our babies, right? no matter how old they get.

Since our meeting location was shared by about half of the graduating families, we decided to get out of the crowd, and head to The Pond for some nice pictures of everyone.
