Christmas Catus

Since my relocation to Sparks, I have not thought much about my plants, as I don't really have a garden that I spend alot of time in like I did at Avon Way. I have my little trees in my room and the big ones are downstairs, they get watered regularly, but have not really seen any dramatic changes in growth. Last week I noticed the Christmas Cactus had some new sprouts coming and I took a few pictures because I was so excited. I have had this plant since 1993 when Marci Drake gave me a bunch of leftover ones she did not want. They were in small containers and I gave most of them away for Christmas that year and kept this one for myself. It has had it's ups and downs over the years, blooming occasionally, but not really growing bigger in size. It has lived in this pot since I planted it there in early 1994. I guess it is happy with the move to Sparks.

I took these today and am just amazed at how fast the new sections are growing and even more new growth is showing up.

Needless to say, I am rather pleased to see some growing movement somewhere in my life. I will take this as a good sign that life is good and I am where I am supposed to be for now.
