Well, I worked my first day shift today. Oh yeah, days are the place to be. I was busy all day, the time flew by and I walked with a ton of cash - not as good as my jackpot week - but as a regular day, I am sure not complaining. I figured I would have to make $15 per shift to cover my loss of one day on my paycheck, plus $25 per day to keep my weekly average of $100 in tips. After today, I am thinking this is not going to be an issue. Yippee!
And I found out today that Dotty's, while they are paying the raise in min wage, they have downgraded the graveyard differential from $1 per hour to .50 per hour. I got out just in time to not be pissed off. But, I do feel sorry for the folks who are still working the vampire hours, it just doesn't seem right. Corporations full of bean counters, whaddya gonna do?
And just as an aside to my days joy. I have made numerous mentions about loving the Chez Long blog, pure joy for me on any given day. And today, I have to give a great big shout out to The 3rd Indigo Girl does Nails!, what a great addition to my blog reading, I just love it, thanks, Kathleen!
It's still light out, maybe I'll go sweep the porch!
