Can You Draw Like a Third Grader?

The B-6 Table Project continues. When David did the grout around the tiles we realized we had not sealed the original artwork as well as we had hoped, bummer. He was as careful as he could possibly be, but we had scraping of the artwork around alot of the tile edges. Grout is just like sand paper. I spent yesterday morning repairing all the kids tiles and feeling really grateful that I had taken good pictures of all of the tiles. There was only one that I could not see very well and made up the whole bottom, but I am betting that kid will never know. A couple of them had lost the names printed small in each corner, so they may notice that their printing has greatly improved, but I did the best I could to keep them true to the original. I also had to remove all the art from the tiles I did with the name of the school and the class room. I used nail polish remover and sandpaper to do the job and I will redo those today, which will be slightly challenging since they are now permanently affixed to the table, but I am thinking the finished project will look just fine. I will be interested to see what the other classrooms produced for this auction and I can't wait to see how much this table fetches, I hope it raises the most money....not that I am biased or anything.

This is before I started.

The kids tiles are complete here, I just have to finish mine today.
It's a beautiful Sunday morning in Sparks, I hope it's beautiful where you are too. Have a wonderful day.
